SPICY KOFTA

Use a kilo of red minced meat (ask your butcher to mince them twice).

In a blender add a handful of fresh parsley, 1 tsp of red chili pepper, 1/2 tsp of cinnamon powder, a pinch of nutmeg, 1 garlic clove and season with salt and fresh black pepper.

Add the minced meat and blend for 30 seconds.

In a pan add 1 tbsp of oil and add 1 finely chopped onion. Cook until it softens.

Add the onion with its oil into the blender and continue to blend for approx. 20 seconds.

Remove the meat and form flat patties using your hands.

In the same pan used for the onion, add some more oil and start to fry the koftas. You can also barbeque them if you like.

Make an oriental salad, tahini and some baladi or Syrian bread to eat with the kofta.
