Egyptian Meal: Kishk With Chicken



  1. Mix 1 cup of yoghurt and half a cup of flour together.

  2. Add 1 cup of milk and blend. Strain, cover, and set for an hour.

  3. Grate 1 onion and fry lightly until golden in a quarter cup of corn oil. Remove from the heat.

  4. In a separate pan, boil 2 cups of chicken broth and add 2 crushed garlic cloves.

  5. Season with salt and pepper and boil for 5 minutes.

  6. Add the yoghurt mix while stirring continuously until it becomes thick.

  7. Now add 1 medium chicken to the boiling mix along with 1 tablespoon of the fried onion.

  8. Pour mixture into a deep serving dish.

  9. Sprinkle the top with the rest of the onions and oil left from the frying onions. Can be served warm or cold.
