Date Granola Mix For Sohour!


It’s RAMADAN!


Make and stock this DATE GRANOLA MIX! Excellent substitute for store bought cereals loaded with sweeteners, sugar, flavour and food colouring. Have it for Sohour or as a post-workout snack.


 


Directions:


Pre-heat the oven to 160 degrees centigrade.

In a bowl, throw in:

Gluten-free oats (I used Bob’s Red Mill)

Chopped organic dates (I used Isis deputed organic dates)

Chopped almonds (I used regular almonds pre-soaked for a few hours)

Cinnamon (to taste)

Dash of sea salt (to taste)

Raw organic honey (to taste)

Vanilla (powder or essence)

Coconut oil (add some to the mix for flavour and to moisten)

Grease a large baking pan with coconut oil, add the granola mix and put in oven.

Mix it after 10 minutes to make sure all sides brown.

Leave it for another 7-10 minutes.

Once it cools, taste it and adjust to your liking.

Goji berries

Sunflower seeds

Cranberries

Nutmeg
