Banana Oat Cake 


A nice touch to a Mother’s Day celebration is a handmade natural cake made by kids for their mum using real ingredients! Either way, enjoying festive cakes and celebrations can be made healthy, natural and delicious. This recipe is sure to be favorite with both kids and adults! Happy Mother’s Day to all the wonderful mothers out there!

 


Ingredients:

1/3 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup honey

2 eggs, beaten

1 cup packed ripe mashed bananas

1/4 cup milk

1 teaspoon baking powder

1/2 teaspoon vanilla pod

1/2 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon

1 3/4 cup whole-wheat flour

1/3 cup oats, old-fashioned


 

Directions:

1. Preheat oven 170°C.

2. In a large bowl, beat oil and honey with a whisk. Add eggs, bananas, milk and mix.

3. Add baking powder, vanilla, salt, cinnamon and mix. Add in the flour and oats and mix by large spoon until just combined.

4. Bake for 23-25 minutes or until done, when toothpick comes out clear.
